Carlos has worked in private practice with a varied caseload of elderly, neurological and vestibular patients (balance-impaired due to inner ear), along with acute and chronic musculoskeletal patients. He is rehabilitation-oriented, seeking to include people in their treatment and help return them to their full capabilities by giving them the tools to manage their condition. He aims to find the root cause of the presenting problem and has excellent manual therapy skills to compliment this approach. He also provides acupuncture and taping treatments when appropriate.
Qualifications:BSc Physiotherapy (Hons), MCSP
He is a native New Yorker, where he got his first degree in anthropology and sociology, and worked as a teacher and athletics coach prior to changing career. Having worked in both manual and desk jobs at various times, and as a former footballer, gymnast and kick-boxer, with 28 years’ experience as a runner, he has had many of the work and sports-related injuries that he how treats!
