Personal Experience

Hypnotherapy Christine Roy is a Clinical Hypnotherapist who set up Erskine Hypnotherapy in 2008. From a nursing background she understands the link between mind and body and the impact that can have on health and wellbeing.

She works in a solution focussed way with an interest in health issues including weight management, smoking cessation, stress, phobias and anxiety. Christine believes that we can all make improvements in our lives – sometimes we just lack the tools, like a positive mindset, or find old habits or past experiences hold us back; often all that’s needed is some help and hypnotherapy can offer that.

She has additional training in alcohol reduction, sleep improvement, trauma, weight management with “Virtual Gastric Band”, confidence and fertility problems. Christine has been featured on BBC Alba- an interesting experience she says when she welcomed a TV crew into her clinic room to film a session and was asked if she spoke Gaelic (which she doesn’t).

She is a Member of the British Society of Clinical Hypnosis and has been awarded Practitioner Diplomas in Clinical Hypnotherapy and Cognitive Behavioural Hypnosis as well as holding a nursing degree from Glasgow University. She has also lectured in health and stress management as well as previously being involved in public health research and e-commerce. Christine enjoys a busy life and loves spending time with family and friends.
