From The Chair and Beyond The Chair Exercise Classes
Our exercise classes are designed to help with your balance, strength, and functional movement. The ten-week block is started and finished with a physiotherapy assessment to check out your ability and progress, and to ensure that you are safe and getting the maximum benefit from the sessions.
Each session is taken by Rachael, who some of you have seen in the clinic, but is also a very experienced and qualified exercise referral therapist, personal trainer (and nutritional therapist).
If you feel that you would benefit from being fitter, or stronger in everyday life, or if you feel that your balance isn’t as good as it should be, these twice weekly classes are for you.
The first class is “From The Chair”. It is aimed at those who are a little more unsteady or need to start with very gentle movement. It is mainly a chair based class. There is a little standing for those who can, but the option to stay seated is always there.
The second class set is “Beyond The Chair”. This class includes more balance work and has more exercises practiced from standing, and progresses to more functional every day strength as well.
