Eventis is more than ‘skin care’. It’s skin health.
Think of it a bit like an MOT for your skin. Eventis is a ground-breaking system, which lets us look at your skin in depth and in a range of different ways, in order to assess its health. It’s a technologically advanced tool in the hands of a highly trained practitioner, Jill du Toit.
Jill can use the information Eventis provides to assess your skin, identify any problems, ‘prescribe’ skin care treatments, and monitor your skin health. And those skin health indicators could include signs of aging, dehydration or sun damage.
How does Eventis work?
Eventis uses specialist imaging and water loss measurements to analyse your skin health and uncover potential skin concerns. Those results are then interpreted by a skin care specialist, and used to build a personalised product and treatment plan. Your plan is tailored specifically for your skin, for you to achieve real results. And because Eventis also tracks your results with follow up scans, you get to see your progress along the way.
Your Eventis consultation will include:
- The Launchpad
The futuristic-looking Launchpad is a state-of-the-art camera system. It takes a series of images of your skin at the surface and also in the deeper layers. These images each have a different purpose. The natural pictures show the top layer of the skin and anything that is visible to the naked eye. The redness images show any inflammation, capillaries or sensitivity within the skin. And the UV images show any areas of pigmentation.
- The TEWL probe
The TEWL probe is a sophisticated tool that measures moisture loss and hydration levels in the layers of the skin. TEWL stands for Transepidermal Water Loss, a measurement of the amount of water that evaporates from the skin’s outermost layer (the epidermis) through the stratum corneum. TEWL is a natural process, but increased levels can indicate a weakened skin barrier, potentially leading to dryness and other issues.
The launchpad and TEWL probe results combined give us a comprehensive picture of your skin health – and give our skin specialist, Jill, the information she needs to create your personalised treatment and product plan.
That personalised treatment plan takes away the guesswork and expense of ‘trial and error’ buying products to see if they’ll work – because Eventis is designed to work with the products we already use here in the clinic, and the system identifies the issues Jill can then address.
- The App
Another exciting benefit of using Eventis is how easy it is to manage everything through your app. Your skin care ‘prescription’, scan results and information are available for you to access at any time. You can see your scan photos, and follow your progress. And you’ll never run out again, as you can purchase any of your prescribed products through your app, at a time that suits you, to be delivered straight to you at home. You’ll even get special offers, not available in the clinic, based on your skin needs.
