Holistic health & Complementary therapies in Helensburgh at The Lomond Clinic

Holistic Therapies in Helensburgh

At The Lomond Clinic, our holistic practitioners work with you as a whole person, not just a set of symptoms. Whether you’re dealing with stress, poor sleep, low energy, anxiety, or simply the weight of a busy life, our therapies offer a gentle, considered approach to feeling better, from the inside out.

If you’ve ever felt like your body is trying to tell you something — and you’re not quite sure what — holistic therapies might be exactly what you’re looking for.

Our Holistic therapies

Reflexology applies precise pressure to specific points on the feet and hands that correspond to different systems and organs in the body. It’s deeply relaxing, and many clients find it particularly helpful for sleep problems, stress, tension headaches, and general low mood.

If you’ve never tried reflexology before, it’s a good place to start. Most people are surprised by how much they feel it — and how much better they feel afterwards.

Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive energy healing technique that works by supporting the body’s own capacity for relaxation and recovery. Sessions involve light touch or hands held just above the body, and most clients describe a feeling of deep calm during and after treatment.

It’s particularly well-suited to people who are carrying a lot of stress, going through a difficult period, or simply feeling depleted and in need of restoration.

Aromatherapy uses carefully selected essential oils — applied through massage or inhalation — to support both physical and emotional wellbeing. Different oils work in different ways: some are calming, some energising, some help with muscle tension or sleep.

Your therapist will discuss what you’re hoping to get from the session and tailor the oils and approach accordingly.

Iridology is the study of the iris — its structure, colour, and markings — as a way of identifying potential imbalances and health concerns that may not show up through conventional tests. It’s a tool for understanding, not diagnosis, and is often used alongside other holistic therapies to build a fuller picture of your health.

Carolyn Aitken offers iridology at The Lomond Clinic, and also runs free monthly information workshops for anyone who’d like to find out more before booking. Contact Carolyn to find out more

Indian Head Massage is a focused, deeply effective treatment working on the scalp, neck, face, and shoulders — exactly where most of us carry our stress. Indian head massage improves circulation, relieves tension, and leaves most clients feeling both relaxed and surprisingly clear-headed.

It’s a popular choice for people who spend long hours at a desk, struggle with tension headaches, or simply need someone to properly sort out their shoulders.

Dao Yin Tao draws on traditional Chinese medicine, using acupressure points on the head, face and shoulders to harmonise energy flow and promote deep relaxation. Clients often describe it as one of the most powerfully calming treatments they’ve experienced, with effects that go beyond the physical.
