Footscan advanced gait analysis

At The Lomond Clinic, we’re proud to offer cutting-edge Footscan gait analysis in Helensburgh – the first and only gait analysis system professionally approved by the Royal College of Podiatry, and trusted by scientists and elite athletes worldwide.

Our advanced technology captures thousands of data points with every step, providing scientifically accurate digital measurements of your feet and movement patterns with 0.1mm precision. Unlike standard visual assessments, our system eliminates guesswork, allowing our qualified physiotherapists to clearly identify the root causes of discomfort or mobility issues.

Gait analysis can benefit:

  • Runners and athletes looking to improve performance and prevent injuries
  • Individuals with foot, knee, hip, or lower back pain
  • People with diabetes needing to monitor foot pressure points
  • Those recovering from injuries requiring rehabilitation tracking
  • Anyone with mobility issues affecting quality of life

Poor gait can contribute to numerous issues including plantar fasciitis, knee pain, hip discomfort, lower back problems, reduced athletic performance, and increased injury risk. Identifying and addressing these imbalances early can prevent chronic pain and long-term damage.

Following your assessment, our physiotherapy team can develop a personalised treatment plan specifically addressing your needs. This may include custom 3D printed Phits orthoses – lightweight, durable, and precisely manufactured to your exact specifications.

Your Footscan session typically includes an initial consultation, comprehensive assessment measuring static balance and dynamic movement, detailed analysis with visual reports, and tailored treatment recommendations.
