What Makes Our Exercise Classes Different?
Our classes aren’t just fitness sessions – they’re part of an integrated, clinical approach to your health and movement. Physiotherapist Sakshi oversees the programme, assessing participants at the start and end of each 10-week block. Exercise referral specialist Rachael leads every session.
That means you’re getting two specialists working together around you – not just a generic workout, but a structured programme tailored to where you are and where you want to get to.
Why choose The Lomond Clinic for exercise classes?

Two Classes, One Goal: Moving Better
From the Chair – Building Your Foundation
Tuesdays & Thursdays, 10:00–10:45
A gentle, 45-minute seated exercise class focusing on:
- Strength building from a supported, comfortable position
- Improved circulation and flexibility
- Core stability and posture
- Growing confidence in movement
Perfect for beginners, those returning from injury, or anyone who wants to build gradually and safely.
Beyond the Chair – Taking It Further
Tuesdays & Thursdays, 11:00–11:45
Ready for more of a challenge? This progression class incorporates:
- Seated and standing exercises for functional strength
- Balance and coordination work
- More dynamic movements
- Strength-building for everyday activities – climbing stairs, carrying shopping, keeping up with grandchildren
The two levels work together: as your fitness and confidence grow, you can move from one class to the next at your own pace.

What our participants say
Annette gives us a 5 out of 5 rating
“An exercise class that is fun, gentle and beneficial, with a fabulous instructor who demonstrates the different exercises and explains the benefits of each one making each session something to look forward to. Good company, too. In all the classes members’ age is not a barrier.”
Sue gives us a 5 out of 5 rating
“Rachael’s Seated Class on Tuesdays and Thursdays requires total concentration, even though to the uninitiated the exercises look really simple, when you are doing them they are tough. It isn’t just moving your legs or arms, it is pulling in, tucking under, lifting up and breathing all the same time! The group are lovely and it is great fun. Thank you.”
Anne gives us a 5 out of 5 rating
“I have thoroughly enjoyed my first 2 Lomond Clinic seated classes… There is a lovely atmosphere within the group, although it is hard concentrating on what appear to be such simple moves! Thankfully, Rachael is full of encouragement and explains how each movement should be made and how we should feel. The discipline of regularly attending class and following the exercises has helped my friend and the other attendees and I look forward to reaping the same benefits!”
