What to expect from specialist skin consultations

If you’re looking for specialist treatment for acne, rosacea, dehydration, pigmentation or other skin concerns, here are the steps involved and what you can expect:

1. Book your appointment

Give us a call on 01436 672677, or book an appointment online for either an Eventis skin consultation (using Eventis facial skin imaging) or a Skin & lifestyle consultation (without imaging, for face or body concerns).

2. Your consultation

Your Consultation will include in depth face-to-face analysis. If you’re having an Eventis consultation, we’ll use we the Eventis technology to scan your face (it’s not as scary as it sounds!). And for a Skin & Lifestyle consultation, or for body skin issues, we’ll examine any areas as appropriate and ask you about your concerns, skin care habits, diet and lifestyle.

3. Your Treatment plan

Our specialist skin therapist will assess your information and skin condition, and work out a prescription for your skins need’s. This might include recommending vitamin-based products to use at home, progressing to facial treatments in the clinic and – if necessary – using supporting devices, like light therapy or skin rollering. Our skin care treatments typically use products by Environ, Cellderma and/or Medik8.

Your therapist may also recommend Advanced Nutrition Programme supplements if required, for complete skin health and faster results.

Specific skin conditions are highly individualised, and your treatment plan will be bvespoke to you – but it might include:

  • Acne may require products from the Environ Clarity+, Skin EssentiA, Advanced Nutrition Programme ranges
  • Rosacea may require products from Environ’s Sebu, Body range, Youth- EssentiA ranges or Cellderma range
  • Dryness/Dehydration may require Environ Skin EssentiA, Youth- EssentiA, Moisture+, Comfort+ ranges & Medic8 range
  • Ageing may require Environ Skin EssentiA, Youth- EssentiA, Youth+, Focus on ranges
  • Pigmentation may require Skin EssentiA, Youth- EssentiA, Radiance+

Come in for your facial or body treatments, which will usually be while you’re lying comfortably on the Hydrotherm warm waterbed, and watch your skin get healthier in the next few weeks!

Whole-Person Approach to Skin Health

Your skin doesn’t exist in isolation – it’s affected by your overall health, stress levels, nutrition, hormones, and more. As part of The Lomond Clinic’s integrated approach, your skincare specialist can coordinate with our other services when beneficial:

This joined-up approach means we can address the root causes of your skin concerns, not just the symptoms.

Do I need a consultation before a skincare treatment?

For new skincare clients, we recommend starting with either an Eventis consultation or a facial consultation. This helps us understand your skin and recommend the right treatments for you. For specific specialised treatments, like ThermaVein or cryotherapy, a consultation is required before we proceed.

How do I choose between a facial consultation and Eventis consultation?

If you’re interested in ongoing facial treatments and want to understand which facials suit your skin, start with a facial consultation. If you want a comprehensive analysis of your skin’s deeper health (pigmentation, sun damage, skin age), the Eventis consultation is ideal. Not sure? Call us on 01436 672677 and we’ll help you decide.

How many skincare treatments will I need?

This depends on your skin concerns and goals. Some treatments like ThermaVein offer permanent results in one session. Facials typically work best as a course – we’ll give you honest recommendations during your consultation.

Are the treatments suitable for sensitive skin?

Absolutely. We have specialist treatments designed specifically for sensitive skin and rosacea. During your consultation, we’ll assess your skin type and recommend appropriate treatments.

What’s the difference between your facials and high street facials?

Our cosmeceutical facials use medical-grade products and advanced technology that you won’t find in regular beauty salons. They’re result-driven treatments focused on long-term skin health, delivered by highly qualified practitioners.

Do you offer skincare products to use at home?

Yes! We stock Environ, Cellderma and Medik8 skincare products, and et al. make up products, as well as Advanced Nutrition Programme supplements. After your consultation, we can recommend the right products to support your treatment results at home.

How much do skincare treatments cost?

Our treatment prices vary depending on your needs:

  • Facials: From £55
  • Eventis consultation: £60
  • ThermaVein & Cryotherapy: From £60

We also offer treatment packages for better value and ongoing skincare support. You can see our skin care treament prices here. For specific pricing or to discuss package options suited to your needs, call us on 01436 672677.

Do you treat men as well as women?

Absolutely! Many of our male clients come to us for acne treatment, red vein removal, skincare maintenance and anti-ageing treatments. Skin health matters regardless of gender.

Is there parking available?

Yes, we’re easily accessible on Helensburgh seafront with plenty of on-street parking and nearby car parks. We’re also just a short walk from Helensburgh Central train station.
