Dr Joyce Braaksma qualified as a medical doctor in the Netherlands in 1999 and completed her GP training in the UK in 2004. She’s been working across NHS general practice for over 20 years and now offers private GP services at The Lomond Clinic in Helensburgh.
Her approach is unhurried and patient-centred — she takes the time to properly understand what’s going on and works with you to find the right path forward. Patients regularly comment on her calm, reassuring manner and her ability to explain things clearly.
Special interests: Women’s health, menopause management, HRT, and contraceptive care. Dr Joyce holds professional certifications from CoSRH (College of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare) and is registered with the GMC.

Clinic times are Tuesdays 4.30-5.30pm, alternate Friday mornings 9-11am and alternate Saturday mornings 10am-12pm.
If these times don’t suit, please contact us on 01436 672677 to discuss possible alternative appointments. Home visits and telephone consultations are available on request.
Thorough, unrushed 30 minute consultations are standard.
Includes physical examination if needed, treatment plan, and any prescriptions required.
Additional services such as blood tests, steroid injections and specialist procedures are priced separately.
